RIPE workshop

RIPE NCC Trainers:

  • Mr. Massimiliano Stucchi
  • Mrs. Nathalie Trenaman

Abstract:

  • The depletion of IPv4 is bringing big challenges to operators all over the world, making them aware that such a scare resource has to be manged in an increasingly efficient way. Also, the need to have a clear vision and idea about own peering policies and the migration to IPv6 are hot topics in these days where a global presence is needed.
  • In this full day workshop, trainers from RIPE NCC will bring you up to date with registry-related best current practices in Routing Policy Specification Language, Resource Transfers, Resource Public Key Infrastructure and how you can benefit from the Atlas Project, building your own measurements.
  • The workshop will feature both theory and hands-on exercises for which a laptop is required.

The CEE Peering Day Vienna 2014 conference was once again hosted by NIX.CZ and VIX.at. The programme included presentations by partners and sponsors of the conference, once again dedicating a sizeable space to social networks and peering.

New in 2014: the unique opportunity to visit the RIPE workshop free of charge the day before the beginning of the CEE Peering Day Vienna 2014 conference. The official commencement of the CEE Peering Day Vienna 2014 conference begun on Monday evening in the Palais Niederösterreich main hall with a Social Evening and accompanying programme.
